Thank you for your question. I appreciate your ongoing willingness to help prepare for surgery and get the best results. But, kinda like the ab exercise question, there is nothing magic to do for the skin prior to surgery. Continue exercise and a healthy diet. Avoiding sun damage is always a good idea. And some type of moisturizer on the skin regularly is helpful. I think you are going to do just fine.Best of luck!
Thanks for this question. I suggest to my patients using vitamins a, b, c, and d. I also recommend zinc supplements before surgery. Your plastic surgeon may want to suggest a few things also ....Best wishes, Dr. Aldo
Body and breast procedures require no particular long term skin preparation except to eat a healthy diet and avoid sun exposure / sun burn. Immediately prior to surgery, it is reasonable to shower with Hibiclens soap which has been shown to lower incidence of infections. Each surgeon has his or her own protocol and thoughts on the matter.
The most important is to use a good moisturizer. Remember a healthy nutrition and adequate water consumption. Good luck

Good luck with your procedure. hope this helpsJames Sheridan, MDAustin, TX

Dear MommyWolf,' Congratulation on your tummy tuck surgery. I do not use drain in tummy tuck, but rather, quilting sutures. However , I use it in other surgeries like liposuction of the abdomen or butt implants surgery. Leakage around the drain is ok as long as most of the fluids go in...
