What's the typical healing time for explant under local anesthesia? (photo)

In my practice removal of implants under local anesthesia is a routine recovery with very little, if any, downtime.  I suggest that my patients wear a very supportive sports bra day and night for about 9 months after the procedure to help the skin retract as much as it can to improve your long-term results.  I think you should be fine returning to work soon afterwards.

If only explantation is performed without lift or capsule alteration, the recovery should be speedy and relatively painless as you will only have an incision without any pocket dissection. You should be back to work in a few days.  There will always be a small risk of hematoma, fluid collection, or infection, but this is a much easier recovery than placing implants.

There
is very little recovery time after explant under local anesthesia.  However, your skin will be excessive and breasts
will droop.  The preferred technique is
explantation and a lift and I recommend The Bellesoma Method.  This will reshape your breast tissue creating
upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and
more medial to increase your cleavage. 
Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast
feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery.  This technique is done under general

Breast implant removal is very well-tolerated. The only real healing that needs to be done is the small incision that is used to access the implant pocket.  Most patients do not even take any pain medication.  You may or may not have drains to manage. I do recommend compression on the breasts and avoidance of activities that increase your blood pressure for a few weeks.  Best wishes.

The recovery is typically short and fairly easy.  Good compression will be the key especially with your profession.  Be sure to speak with your surgeon about your concerns.

I would suggest asking your surgeon your specific questions. However, with just a removal and no capsulectomy, you probably can go back to work within a few days. You might want to schedule a lighter work load than usual for the first few days.

Breast implant removal under local anesthesia in our practice does not require any time off work other than the day the procedure is done, although we do put drains in for a week and ask that you not lift over 5-10 pounds for one week.

I think that you have a good understanding; removal of breast implant surgery  is generally a very well-tolerated procedure and associated with minimal discomfort (and recovery period) compared to initial breast augmentation surgery.  Most patients are able to return to a desk job within a few days   and are able to return to your line of work in about one week.  If you are lifting a heavy blow dryer, this time off may need to be extended.  Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource in this regard. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.
