I am now 16 days post tt with lipo and no muscle repair. Drains are out. I'm definitely swollen but about 2-3" inches above my belly button when I just tap that area it jiggles like a water bed. Is that normal???

Answer: Post tummy tuck fluid? Thank you for your question and congratulations on your recent tummy tuck. Based on your narrative it appears that you have developed a seroma. This is a discrete fluid collection that can develop between your skin and muscle after a tummy tuck. The rationale for placement of drains, small seromas can be absorbed by the body, while larger seromas may require drainage by your surgeon in their office. I would recommend you see your surgeon for an in-person assessment and treatment of any fluid collections identified.

Answer: Post tummy tuck fluid? Congratulations on having the tummy tuck procedure. Your description is consistent with the presence of a seroma. If this is the case, aspiration(s) of the seroma will be necessary; be careful that this is not become a chronic situation or secondarily infected. Follow-up with your plastic surgeon, earlier than already scheduled if necessary, or an accurate assessment and treatment. Best wishes.
