I have thin skin. Is my morphed going photo possible? I want harsh cartilage softened. Most doctors say I need an open rhinoplasty with added cartilage or fascia. Would temporal fascia, ear or rib cartilage be better? I want less visibility of nostrils at all angles. Hanging columella shortened, bulbous tip and dorsal hump removed. Very finesse. Everyone says I'll regret a nose job. I'm worried it will look even more upturned and too small. I just want imperfections perfected.
Answer: Finesse Rhinoplasty Hi JessiKo! Finesse rhinoplasty is definitely possible and your morphed images are not unreasonable. Doing an open rhinoplasty allows for precision of grafts, suture, and camouflage. I prefer it in cases like yours compared with a closed approach. The swelling post procedure can take longer to resolve, but the results are more predictable. Using fascia, such as temporalis, is very powerful to help reduce the definition and smooth the tip. If any cartilage is needed, the septum is preferred, first. Lowering the nostril margin is possible in a number of ways - composite grafts from the ear, repositioning of lower lateral cartilages, and reducing the hanging columella. Whatever you decide, ensure that you seek a facial plastic surgeon with expertise in rhinoplasty. Hope this helps!

Answer: Rhinoplasty to reshape the nose and narrow the nostrils Thank you for posting your question. A rhinoplasty procedure can soften contours and make nostrils less visible. The procedure is personalized to each patient’s unique needs to find a natural shape and facial cohesion. The hanging columella, bulbous tip, and dorsal hump can all be corrected in surgery while making a natural nose that matches your other features. A rhinoplasty is a complicated procedure that requires expertise and precision for natural and balanced results. Working with an experienced board-certified facial plastic surgeon who creates a custom plan and can provide you with detailed information about your options for open and closed procedures is critical.

Answer: Rhinoplasty - softer and more natural tip Thank you for your question and (quality) photos. You are a good candidate for Rhinoplasty. You will have a very nice result with standard techniques. Grafts are likely not needed in your case. Make sure that you consult with at least two board certified Plastic Surgeons with experience in Rhinoplasty.

Answer: Nasal reshaping... Based on your photos, you would be a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Your bump can be taken down and your tip cartilage modified to look smoother. Your columella is a bit droopy which gives you the extra nostril show. This can be lifted up at the same time without further rotating the nose. The key is to find a rhinoplasty expert that is comfortable with all of these things.

Answer: Yes, possible! While it's important to keep in mind that no morphed photo is a guarantee, and your result will never be exactly what you see in a morph, I don't think that's an unreasonable result to expect. It shows a small dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, and decreased columellar show. In my hands, this case isn't likely one that would require any fascia or cartilage from elsewhere (assuming your septum is intact!). You may even be a candidate for dorsal preservation. You hit the nail on the head that this is a finesse rhinoplasty, so find a surgeon with good training/experience and an aesthetic you like!
