In my opinion, the visual effect from Radiesse is usually gone by a year. If multiple treatments are done, the effect can last a bit longer. I have not found Kenalog or Vitrase to be effective in dissolving Radiesse faster.
Radiesse is not a hyaluronic acid product and will not dissolve with hyaluronidase (Vitrase trade name). It is best to wait the 8-14 months for it to be metabolized.BestDr. Karamanoukian#RealSelf100 Member
Visible results from Radiesse typically last about one year, but it can persist for longer than that in the skin. There is no way to dissolve Radiesse. Vitrase only works to dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane. If there is a reaction to a filler, medicines such as Kenalog can help to reduce the immune reaction and reduce inflammation.
It usually takes Radiesse anywhere from 9-12 months to go away. Vitrase will do nohting as it is not hyaluronic acid. injections of Kenalog into the area might help some
I have seen Radiesse last about a year on average, but may last longer with multiple injections. To my knowledge, radiesse is not dissolved by vitrase or kenalog. Radiesse is calcium hydroxylappetite (CAH). It is not a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler (e.g. juvederm, restylane, etc). Vitrase dissolves HA fillers, not CAH.... Thus, vitrase does not dissolve Radiesse. Kenalog is a steroid. Steroids reduce the immune response and are not reported to directly dissolve CAH.
Radiesse lasts 9 to 15 months. It seems to last even longer in the skin. Hyaluronidase does no good although some try it. Steroids such as Kenalog help reduce inflammation but also reduce fat which is not so productive. It come s down to waiting it out. Some have had success injecting sterile water in the area. You might try that. My Best, Dr Commons
No, neither of those IMHO will have any effect on Radiesse which isn't an HA product. Radiesse takes about a year to fully dissolve but will start to go down in several months. Steriod injections should be avoided IMHO as they are far more likley to dissolve facial fat, in the area, than have any effect on the Radiesse.
Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. In our office, we use Radiesse to complement structural areas of the face and contour bony prominences. Our office also is a center of...
