I was born with bags under my eyes and nothing seems to ever get rid of them. Now that I'm 23 they'll only get worse. Concealer is zero help.

Thank you for your question.  Based on your photo, I think you would benefit from a transconjunctival blepharoplasty to remove the fat bags through an incision on the inside of your eyelid.  Best to speak to a board certified plastic surgeon.  All the best,

Hi and thank you for your question! Bags and dark circles under eyes could be present in people of all ages. Based on your picture, the bags and dark circles can be effectively treated with injection of hyaluronic acid fillers such as Belotero, Restylane or Volbella. Under eye bags since birth can be treated with surgery (ie. blepharoplasty), fat injections, and/or filler injections (ex. Restylane). There isn't a "best" plastic surgery option for all patients. The area under the eye that concerns you is likely a genetic issue.  You may wish to try fillers in the area.  They disguise irregularities can help to smooth the under eye.  I recommend visiting with an experienced injector in your area to learn more.

Many young people present to me with a complaint of dark circles under the eyes and puffiness above the dark circles.  When this occurs in a young person my impression is that this problem is an inherited problem.  Correction of this problem requires a procedure called a trans-conjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty with arcus marginalis release and composite fat grafting.  To learn more please repeat below and watch the video.
