If I get a breast augmentation after inverted nipple surgery, will it affect my inverted nipple results?

Question

I currently have two inverted nipples and looking to get them fixed as well as getting a breast augmentation. I found a a surgeon in orange CT that I want for a augmentation but doesn’t say anything about specializing in inverted nipple surgery. So I was going to go to a separate surgeon for nipples first then breast augmentation. Do you think this is the best idea or if I get the breast augmentation after will this affect my inverted nipple results?

Inverted nipples frequently pop out after augmentation by itself but this is not possible to predict beforehand. I would recommend getting the augmentation first to see if that corrects the issue. If not, you can always then have a second procedure to help the nipples. I think you will have a tough time finding a surgeon who specializes in inverted nipple surgery. The surgeon you choose for your augmentation should be able to help with both issues.

Correcting inverted nipples is typically a straight forward surgery and can be performed by your breast augmentation surgeon.  There is no need to have them done separately.  When visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon mention your two concerns.  I'm confident she/he will be able to help you in having both addressed.

Correction of inverted nipples should not be affected by breast augmentation and vice versa, even if breast augmentation is done through the incision around the areola. It is a little unusual that a surgeon who does breast augmentation would not offer inverted nipple correction. Combining inverted nipple correction and breast augmentation during one surgery is a fairly reasonable option.

The augmentation will probably help the nipples stay everted. Some with inverted nipples become everted with just implants.  You might try the augmentation first, unless your surgeon tells you that only surgery will evert your nipples.

It will depend on the plastic surgeon you see but I have numerous times performed the surgeries at the same time. If you do choose to separate the procedures, it should not effect the results. Make sure to see only board- certified plastic surgeons to care for you.

I recommend you have the breast augmentation first.

The breast implants will place some pressure behind the nipple and will likely give you an better result overall.
