Will 'skin tightening' during a breast lift surgery smooth out the wrinkled stretch marks on my breasts? (Photos)

Question

I'm 22 years. My breasts have sagged after weight loss. The stretch marks on my breasts r old and had formed during puberty. I'm ok with them but after the weight loss, they have become wrinkled (specially on my right breast where the sag is more). I have lost 20kgs in 16months. I'm planning to undergo breast lift surgery with/without reduction. Now my question is will the 'skin tightening' during the breast lift surgery smooth out the wrinkled stretch marks on breasts? i don't want implants.

The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. The wrinkles will improve using this technique.

Hello @Intuitive966585, thank you for your question and showing you pictures. Even though the skin of the breast tends to be more elastic it can occur after childbirth and breastfeeding that some stretch marks appear. With a breast lift the stretch marks will diminish depending on the location of the strechtmarks. When you have a breast a lift the breast is improved either by reorganizing the breast parenchyma, relocating the areola and nipple to a higher position and removing skin so those stretch marks would be minimized. A lift can make the skin smoother and firmer, and some stretchmarks may be removed. Your surgeon would be able to let you know how many would be removed.

The lift will stretch the skin and improve the stretch marks but this dermal injury will persist and its appearance may return months after surgery.  There is no definitive correction for these stretch marks.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like a breast lift would improve your stretch marks. With the lift, excess skin is removed and the rest is tightened. This will improve stretch marks. For any marks left, micro-needling can be done once you have healed.

Congratulations on your weight loss!  The breast lift will help to reshape the breast and correct the nipple position.  The stretch marks may change somewhat in appearance from the procedure, but they will still be present after the surgery.
