Will a breast lift surgery improve the wrinkles on breast due to loose skin?

Question

I'm 22 yrs old. I lost weight and developed saggy breasts along with loose wrinkled skin on breast. But I have retained enough breast volume. I'm ok with the stretch marks but will the wrinkles on the breasts due to loose skin improve with breast lift surgery? When I pinch and pull some of the loose skin on breast from the bottom, the breast lifts up, the remaining breast skin tightens and as a result the wrinkles disappear so will I get similar result with a breast lift surgery?

Thank you for your question and congratulations on your weight loss.  Normally when a breast lift is performed the wrinkle look to the breast disappear.  Your Surgeon of choice will be able to give the breast a tighter appearance.  I would suggest speaking with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to discuss your questions and concerns. A lift can smooth out loose skin, reducing the presence of wrinkles and sagging. Excess tissue is removed, making the breast firmer and the skin smoother.

Hello, thank you for you question. With a breast lift the idea is to remove as much of the extra skin as possible. It will tighten most of the skin hopefully this will eliminate some of the wrinkles you are describing. Hard to say whether of not all of the wrinkles will be removed without a proper physical examination. I would bring up your concerns to your plastic surgeon during your consultation.

This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They then get to choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Mildly Sagging Breasts: If your breasts are mildly droopy, a saline or silicone gel implant placed behind the pectoral muscle might help create the illusion of perkiness. That’s because as the implant fills out the top of the breast, it also fills out the bottom, making it look as if the nipple has moved higher. It hasn’t. Whichever breast lift technique is used, it will create new skin brassier which will be the major support to the new shape and breast position.
