Thank you for your question. At three weeks post op you probably don't have much to worry about from smoking marijuana. Most physicians say 3-4 weeks after surgery is optimal for not smoking any substances, so you may want to error on the side of caution. Best of luck to you.
Hi and thank you for your question. It is very exciting that you have progressed to this point in your recovery! I advise my patients not to smoke for 3 weeks before and 6 weeks after. I also advise them to avoid second hand smoke. This is something that you need to talk to your surgeon about since I am sure they have a set of guidelines and they also know how your healing is progressing from your last visit. Best wishes for a successful recovery,
In general, I tell my patients that they need to stop smoking 4 weeks before surgery and 4 weeks after in order to have proper wound healing.I would say this would be a good question to ask your plastic surgeon as your plastic surgeon may have a different postoperative care plan.Hope that helps.
can usually be done safely once your wounds have healed and you're not experiencing any complications. But if you want the only blessings that matter, you should ask your surgeon.
No smoking for one month ensures that your incisions have healed at least 40 to 60% thus avoiding wound break down.
