After a large weight loss I have a lot of remaining skin. I exercise regularly, eat properly, and have maintained my 160 pound loss for over 3 years. But the body is a mess. I am getting conflicting advice on whether an extended tummy tuck (with potential for butt lift later on if desired) or a 360 body lift would be required. What could be done for these thunder thighs, especially in the back?
Answer: Tummy Tuck/360 Body Lift Thank you for your question. Congratulations on your weight loss. Your a good candidate for a 360 body lift. A 360 degree body lift, if performed in one operation, has a high, serious complication rate. I like to divide this into two shorter and well pollarated procedures. I would first perform a tummy tuck and then a flank lift. The Tummy Tuck I invented gives a natural looking tummy and belly button, a relatively flat tummy, significantly LESS PAIN and FASTER RECOVERY versus traditional techniques. The patients typically wake up from surgery in no pain. They walk to the recovery room. It is not uncommon for patients to take only Tylenol for pain after surgery. The oldest patient I performed this type of tummy tuck on is 80 years old, and she only took Tylenol for pain. It is not uncommon for patients to be driving 7 days after surgery. I did have a 64 year old woman who drove 4 days after surgery. Six weeks later you can have a Flank Lift. Believe it or not recovery is quicker than a tummy tuck. For more information please watch the enclosed video. I hope you find this information useful.

CONTACT NOW Answer: 360 Lower Body Lift or Extended Tummy Tuck? (photos) Congratulations on your weight loss, and maintaining your present weight for 3 years. The most effective procedure for you would be a 360 degree belt dermatolipectomy. This would circumferentially remove excess fat and skin that needs to be removed for your best result. An extended TT would work, but not as well. The thigh problem will need to be addressed at a later date. They cannot be done at the same time.Thank you for your photos and your interesting question. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Body contouring Hello and thank you for your question. Congratulations on your weight loss. Based on your pictures, I would recommend a full circumferential lower body lift. This will improve your abdomen and lower back and potentially your buttocks. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: First Tummy tuck Lipo and BBL Hi, thanks for sharing your concern and photos with us! First I want to congratulate you for making this important decision. Deciding to get an aesthetic procedure to change your body and get a new life style is a big step! Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get an entire back, waist and flanks liposuction, with BBL, and tummy tuck, this is because all the extra skin located in this areas plus your abdominal muscle needs to be repaired. Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. For us your safety, always, is going to be first. Have a great day! Dr. JPG

Answer: Multiple surgeries; tummy first Hi. I think an extended tummy tuck would be a good first step. I do the lower body lift portion separately - data shows combining the two operations at the same time has a much higher chance for transfusions, complications and hospitalization. It's not uncommon for my weight loss patients to have several operations - breast, tummy, arms, thighs can all be treated, just not at the same time.
