Juvederm interaction with antibiotics?

Question

I have booked in to get lip fillers, but have just been put on antibiotics for a uti/kidney infections (alprim trimethoprim 300mh) are there are any known affects of this antibiotic being used with juvaderm and should I wait until I've finished the antibiotics to go ahead with the procedure?

In my experience it is best to not have juviderm injections while you are being treated for an infection.  I would wait until it it cleared up.

I always think it best to be in good health before having any kind of cosmetic procedure. Why risk it? So, reschedule your filler appointment until after your infection has completely cleared.

Thankyou for your question. This is really an important question.   If anyone is unwell we always suggest holding off  having fillers. Its not the antibiotics but with any infection/inflammation we are always concerned the product may harden.

While it may be o.k. Why take the risk?! 
I advise patients with known infection on antibiotics to await the completion of antibiotics and infection cleared.
Better safe than sorry.
