Gallbladder, breast augmentation. How long should I wait to get the breast augmentation done after my gall bladder is removed?

Your medical team and surgeons will advise when to proceed with elective surgery following gall bladder removal. In general 3 months after should be sufficient but all patients are different and recovery at different rates. 

Speak with your surgeon, but assuming that your gallbladder surgery is laparoscopic, you should wait at least 2-3 weeks until you are fully healed before undergoing your breast augmentation. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Hello, I would say that you should be able to under go breast augmentation when ever you have healed enough from the gb surgery and you are out of the postoperative complication/risk period. I would expect that to be around 2-3 weeks after your surgery, which I am assuming is planning to be done laparoscopic. 

I don't see any reason why you couldn't do both a gallbladder removal and a breast augmentation at the same time provided you are otherwise healthy.  Good luck!

Thank you for your question.  I think your doctor is correct in recommending the gall bladder surgery first.  Having said that I would recommend waiting a minimum of six weeks after your gall bladder surgery to have your BA.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for the question.  It would be better to focus on the gallbladder surgery first since it is a matter of you general health.  You can have your cosmetic surgeries after you have healed from your gallbladder removal.  It would not be wise to have a lot of surgeries going at once since it would have effects on your healing period.  Best of luck Dr. Michael Omidi.

Your incision should be completely healed, and you should be back to full activities, and for a laparoscopic procedure that should be a couple weeks. I am not sure  of the need to postpone your breast surgery, though.  You might discuss this with both surgeons.All the best.
