Yes, Sculptra is safe in the hands of an experienced injector. The fact that you are consulting with a plastic surgeon is a good sign. Best of luck, Dr. Nazarian
Sculptra is more of a collagen stimulant than a filler. It is delivered in a series of treatment which over time stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the face.
Yes, Sculptra is very safe and effective when injected in the right candidate in an appropriate location by a skilled, board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. It’s a great way to achieve long-lasting, natural volumization. I would recommend finding someone with experience using injectables, Sculptra specifically, because there is a risk of nodule formation if injected in the wrong area by someone inexperienced. Sculptra works by injecting a solution of tiny particles that then stimulate your own cells to make more collagen within 4 – 6 weeks. Usually 3 or more sessions at least one month apart are necessary for optimal results. In your sixties, your cells may respond a little slower, but I still think you can have an excellent response.
Thank you for your question. Sculpture is a great injectable to help shape and restore volume to the face. It is a very nuanced injectable filler and experience definitely makes a big difference as to the final outcome and results. I am a trainer for Sculptra, as well as the other injectable agents, and know firsthand that there is a wide variety of experience out there even among plastic surgeons and dermatologists. I suggest you go to a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who has a high volume of injectable fillers, and who does a high volume of sculptra in their practice.
I have over 12 years experience with Sculptra. It is simply fantastic and underutilized in cosmetic surgery because it doesn't give an immediate result. It takes several weeks to see the positive changes and often several visits to accomplish them but it lasts for 2 years and gram for gram is the most bang for the buck of ANY INJECTABLE. Just look at the results and you will be convinced. I have a nurse in her 50's and and her 80 year old mother who both look incredible and have returned after the initial 2 years because they were so satisfied.
Sculptra has excellent results in my practice. I would prefer to remain conservative with the treatments. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Sculptra is safe and one of the biggest products I use in my practice as anyone who gets fillers in my practice gets sculptra. This works to build collagen , like the foundation on a house, sculptra works to support long term building and lifting of the skin and works to prolong the other fillers you inject. Best, Dr. Emer.
The short answer to your question is that yes, Sculpta is safe. This product is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) microparticles. It is injected into the facial tissue to correct shallow to deep smile lines (nasolabial fold) contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles. In the hands of trained professionals (surgeons, injectors, etc.) this product can have great results. Best of luck!
Like any injection it needs to be done in the hands of a well trained injector. sculptra is one of the best options for facial volume loss and skin tightening. If you have seen an experienced doctor and they feel your a good candidate, it is the way to go!
Sculptra(R) Aesthetic s a powder that stimulates your own connective tissue to grow and then it dissolves - Because it disappears from the body, it is safe. Sculptra(R) Aesthetic (poly-L-lactic acid) is the powder form of an absorbable suture (Vicral(R) or Dexon(R) that has been safely used for many years by surgeons to stitch wounds.and close surgical incisions. The Sculptra(R) Aesthetic powder is mixed with sterile water for injection. The mixture is then injected into the soft tissue of the face in the areas that need volume. After a day or two, the water will absorb leaving the powder particles to stimulate collagen. This is a slow process that takes a number of months - so one needs to be patient to see results..Although Sculptra(R) Aesthetic is safe, it is important to prevent nodules or lumps developing in the areas injected.
Hello, thank you for your question. Sculptra, like any filler, can produce lumps. Many products are used for the under eye, despite not technically being "approved" for this area, with good result. Firm massage (5 x/day, 5 min, 5 days) is the appropriate post-care for Sculptra. Due to the...
The droopiness may be related to some tissue swelling, but this should be examined by your surgeon immediately as the droopiness is not common. Massage the area with Plato's Bruise Balm until you see your doctor. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Dear 42goingon35, this is a very interesting question and the short answer is that there have not yet been any large, well-controlled studies published in the academic literature addressing your specific concerns. Therefore, all we can do is hypothesize based on what we know of rheumatoid...
