I got the procedure done the summer before my freshman year of college. At the hospital, the nurses were so kind, and Dr Michelow was so reassuring and gentle. It was a difficult recovery period, but I’ve never felt more comfortable in my body. It’s been around 14 weeks, and I still have some nerve damage in my nipples but it was still completely worth it.
Thirteen years ago, I lost 100 pounds after gastric bypass surgery. I committed myself to a lifestyle of healthier living and exercise. Despite my best efforts, I was left with a flabby hanging stomach. No matter how much I exercised or dieted this section of my body was not going to change. As a runner or at the pool, I was embarrassed to take my shirt. I decided it was time to do something about getting this remedied and began searching on the internet for a plastic surgeon who specialized in tummy tucks for men. That is how I found Dr. MIchelow and I am so thankful and happy I did!! My consultations with Dr. MIchelow went very well. He listened to my concerns and expectations. I showed him a sport trunk swim suit and said I need to look good in this, because that is what I swam in while doing my swim training. He talked about body contouring and gave me realistic expectations of what I could expect from the surgery. The surgery took about 3 1/2 hours. One of the things I appreciated by Dr. Michelow, was his quality of pain management. With the pump that I took home with me and the proper medications, I had minimal pain which exceeded my expectations. My recovery took about eight weeks. At each and every follow-up appointment he took time with me and provided a necessary minor revision at no cost to me. His staff is amazing and took excellent care of me. I would recommend Dr. Michelow to anyone considering a procedure. I felt his price point for the procedure was fair and reasonable and after having the procedure definitely worth the investment in myself. The best part is I can now run with my shirt off and wear my sport trunk swim suit and feel good about my body and love my tummy tuck!!!
I was born with a cleft lip. Since birth, I've had two plastic surgeries for lip reconstruction and one lip injection procedure. The lip injections were done by another plastic surgeon. As I wasn't pleased with the outcome of my first injection, I was apprehensive about having the procedure done again. I actually Google searched "nearby plastic surgeons" and came across Dr. Michelow's webpage. I was impressed with the reviews, photos, and professionalism of the site itself, so I phoned Dr. Michelow's office to make a consultation appointment. I was so impressed with everyone I encountered. Reception was welcoming and helpful, the assistant was pleasant and friendly, and Dr. Michelow was FANTASTIC. He put all my apprehensions to rest. I have had two injection procedures with Dr. Michelow, and cannot wait to return. My excitement about Dr. Michelow and his staff falls short to how unbelievably happy I am with the results. I have never been able to completely close my lips in a resting state, and now I can. Not to mention they look AMAZING! Thank you so much to all of you. You've truly changed my life.
Needed a fresher, look...furrowed brows & under eye bags be gone!!! I had both Dysport and Restalyne Lyft. Both have been fantastic experiences. The Dysport was used in new areas thaan I had ever had before and I feel zapped my furrowed brows much better than ever. I had never done fillers before so I was a little nervous but couldn't be more happy. I didn't have any bruising, but definitely sore for the day after...but results were immediate & amazing.
I am 36 years old, mother of 4. After all my pregnancies, my stomach was just not the same, after carrying twins, it was never going to be the same. I have wanted a tummy tuck for 5+ years. For me this was not a weight loss procedure. I am 5'5 and hover around 150lb, size 6/8. This was procedure was so I could feel comfortable with my reflection again. I had stretch marks, a frown of a belly button, and and extra pouch of a belly I was always trying to hide or tuck in the right pair of pants. I finally took the plunge and scheduled my surgery. 2 week post now and I am feeling great. The first week was rough, but at thins point I almost feel like I could go to the gym. Images may be added later, as I am still healing 2 weeks post op. Updated on 26 Apr 2016: I am 4 weeks post surgery and feel great. Overall 90% normal. Lower swelling still exists, but I feel like I can exercise and do just about everything I could before. If you are considering a tummy tuck, I recommend several weeks of exercise first to help strengthen your core, it'll only help in your recovery.
I wanted to get back in my jeans and have confidence again after twin pregnancy. I went to Dr. Michelow and had the surgery. Surgery was combined with Hysterectomy took about 4 hours. It went smoothly. Woke with 2 drains, large incision and some expected soreness which improved quite a bit after 10 days. It is now 2 months later and I am back to daily routine (was back to work in 5 weeks) healing very nicely with little remaining swelling, no pain- only occasional soreness if I "over-do it." Feel Great. Confidence is up. Look Great. Best thing I have ever done for myself. Cons: Expected down-time, first 10 days is painful and slept sitting for best comfort. Had prescription that eased pain and helped me sleep. Pros: Highly Skilled Surgeon, Wonderful Bedside Manner, Fantastic Realistic Outcome.
The reduction of the areola can be performed with a periareolar incision and can be done at the same time as an augmentation. You are correct that even if the areolas are minimized it is possible they can still stretch with the insertion of a large implant. Please make sure to discuss this with your board certified plastic surgeon.
You are only four days postop and showering for the first time, it is not unusual for the ink to still be present. The markings will eventually fade without any special treatment.
Thank you for your question. It appears you are asking about a fat transfer. In a thin person even small amounts of fat can be harvested from locations such as the inner thighs, back, buttocks. This is still a surgical procedure. A completely non surgical method for enlarging your breasts is the Brava expansion cup procedure, which is a bra that is worn 10 hours a day and the breast enlarges a millimeter a day. This is a very slow procedure but is totally non surgical. Please speak to your plastic surgeon about the best option for you.
Hello, As your hand and forearm can swell after brachioplasty, I recommend to avoid any possible complications, waiting until the cast is removed before having surgery on your upper arm. For same reason (post op swelling) we always recommend the removal of rings and bracelets from fingers and wrists prior to surgery. Please consult with your plastic and orthopedic surgeon.
Hello! Tightening the arm with a brachioplasty will improve the contour. As long your weight remains stable, the contour should not change. If you loose weight, then skin most likely will loosen and hang once again. You mentioned wearing short sleeves, please be aware, the scar, although hidden in the inside of your arm extends from the armpit to the elbow. Additionally being overweight, smoking and having sugar diabetes can lead to poor wound healing, wider scars and less than optimal result
