I got Sculptra done 11days ago and my left eyelid is drooping. I've had the procedure done before but this was the first time it was injected in my temple area. When the local was injected I said to the nurse "is my eye supposed to feel weird?" I was assured it was the numbing sensation but my eyelid is drooping still. Help!
Answer: Sculptra and droopiness of the eye The droopiness may be related to some tissue swelling, but this should be examined by your surgeon immediately as the droopiness is not common. Massage the area with Plato's Bruise Balm until you see your doctor. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Answer: Drooping eye Did you have Botox at the same time? Any drooping from the local should have resolved itself by now. I would suggest that you make an appointment to see your surgeon. Sorry that you are experiencing this. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Answer: Eyelid Drooping After Sculptra The eyelids should only (possibly) droop for a few hours after sculptra due to the lidocaine in the sculptra. If it is drooping now, I suggest speaking to your physician. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Sculptra and eyelid droop Most people mix Sculptra with a local anesthetic, and temporary decreased motion (brow motion when the temples are treated) is not at all uncommon. This effect should have worn off within a few hours. Can you lift your brows now? I would assume so since that was not your complaint. If you also had Botox at this appointment it could be the culprit. Swelling can also make the eyelid look a little droopy, even though the muscle function is normal. It is also extremely common for patients to more closely scrutinize their features after injections or procedures. If you still have concerns follow up with your nurse and review your old photos. That may be very helpful. If you did get ptosis from Botox, there are some eyedrops that may provide temporary improvement until the Botox wears off.

Answer: Local or Sculptra causing eyelid to droop? I think the local used for your Sculptra treatment to the temples is much more likely to be the cause for your upper eyelid droop than the Sculptra itself. I would expect this issue to resolve completely but it is a bit unusual that it is still present 11 days after the treatment. You should definitely inform the office where you were treated of your issue so that they can monitor your progress.
