Answer: Age is not a contra-indication for surgery I recommend you see an internal medicine doctor and get cleared for surgery. Explain that you will be under 2-3 hours of general anesthesia. However, age is not a contra-indication for surgery. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Being a good candidate for a BBL Generally the best candidates for the BBL tend to be young women with tight skin who are moderately overweight. Starting around age 40 peoples skin elasticity starts breaking down and people become less or candidates for both Liposuction and fat transfer procedures. There are other numerous variables that determine if someone is a candidate or not. Without pictures we cannot make an assessment. Your age is not in your favor for being a good candidate but if everything else is fine then you may potentially be a candidate for this procedure. In reality if you people are ideal or perfect candidates. It’s typically being somewhere on the spectrum. During a high-quality in person consultation appropriate before and after pictures should be shown demonstrating the type of results each individual could expect based on their own individual candidacy.
