I need help. I had juvederm in my upper lip 3 years ago and I still can't smile. I thought it was just overfilled and it would absorb after a few months. I know it was overfilled because she put 2 syringes in my upper lip. What do I do? My smile is ruined!. HELP PLZ
Answer: Can my smile be fixed? It appears there is still filler present in the lips that has also migrated to your cutaneous lip (above your lip). This, as well as the filler in the nasolabial folds and cheeks, is causing you to dislike how you appear when you try to smile. I would recommend dissolving the filler in all areas (may possibly take multiple sessions to dissolve), and starting your filler from scratch. High quality, soft, natural looking fillers should be placed, possibly over the course of a couple of sessions. I hope this helps!

Answer: Overfilled lip and smile Hello, and thank you for your question. I am sorry you are going through this. Have you tried dissolving the filler instead? There is an enzyme called hyaluronidase that can breakdown hyaluronic acid (dermal filler). Filler over time can dissipate, but some amount will remain, especially if overfilled. Filler can also migrate to additional areas that were not intended, which can alter other areas of the face. I would recommend consulting with a practitioner about dissolving filler and see if this is an option for you.

Answer: Filler I'm sorry you are having issues with your smile after your filler treatment. If there is filler remaining you can have it dissolved with hyaluronidase. Or you can elect to allow the product to be metabolized gradually by your body. See an expert injector near you to learn more.

Answer: Your Smile When I compare your before and after pictures, I noticed that your teeth are showing very minimally in the present. I'm inclined to believe that a contributing factor to the change in your smile is related to the cheek and nasolabial filler that has been injected in the front part of your face, as this will impede the muscles that lift your mouth. My recommendation is to dissolve the cheek-area filler. Due to the quantity of filler this will likely need to be done over multiple appointments.
