Hi, I have a 1mm Goretex implant in my dorsum which was inserted to fix a polypeak deformity, after first surgery, by the same surgeon. I’m wanting to get a revision to retract the implant and replace with rib cartilage. I’m just wondering would it be difficult to remove, since I had the surgery in 2015 (9 years ago)..? I never had any problems, no infections. I notice my tip is crooked and would like an overall revision to straighten it

We can camouflage visible cartilage with Silikon-1000 injections, however, I am concerned that this may lead to a wider nasal tip appearance. If this is a small piece of cartilage that is poking out, potentially it may be removable in a minimally invasive fashion, depending on your examination,...
A revision rhinoplasty can certainly address the issues you discuss. A graft can be placed on the bridge to remove the curve, and a septal extender with plumping grafts can give more columellar show. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.
Many patients benefit from microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections to camouflage visible pieces of native cartilage or grafted cartilage after previous rhinoplasty surgery. Examination would be necessary to determine somebody's candidacy. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
