The hyaluronic-acid based fillers such as Belotero, Volbella and Restylane Silk can be used to subtly change the shape of your upper lip, revealing more of the vermillion (red part) to give your Cupid's Bow a rounder and fuller shape. This takes a great deal of skill, so you must take your time to find an expert near you. Although you can search for costs of lip augmentation in your area online and by using this site, consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will give you a better idea of the price. The best practitioners often cost a bit more. However, most can work with you to arrange a payment plan.

Hello and thanks for this question.Fillers are the answer. Filler in the columns and cupid's bow themselves will give the appearance of a shorter upper lip in most patients. Adding volume to the red part of the lip will make this look bigger and proportionally reduce the width of the white part of the lip.Your last resort would be lip shortening with surgery.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)

You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO Nova threads can also be used to improve shape and provide lift. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. Although it won't change the area above your upper lip, it will give you completely different appearance of your lips. Thank you for sharing your question.  The least invasive method of treatment would be the use of dermal fillers to help augment the size of your upper lip.  Though this will not directly affect your Cupid's bow length it should aid in camouflaging it. Alternatively you can perform a lip lift procedure to decrease your Cupid's bow length but you need to understand scar creation/placement related issues.  Be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon.

Your upper lip is thinner than the ideal proportion we like to see, which is an upper lip that is about 2/3 the size of the lower. I think you would be pleased with the improvement you can get with a hyaluronic-acid based dermal filler such as Volbella or Restylane Silk. These will give your upper lip more volume and a softer, more youthful shape. A fuller upper lip will make your philtrum look slightly thinner. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert in lip augmentation will get you the best results.

Your first and only good choice is going to be a lip lift. Long philtrums can not be significantly reduced by injectable fillers, they primarily make the vermilion of the lip fuller. Depending upon how you feel about the sides of your upper lip, you may also consider a upper lip vermilion advancement.
