I'm starting to see purple/dark areas on lips and it's 5 weeks post injection. Also, some parts of the lip is slightly white.
Answer: Purple appearance after lip filler The timing of the appearance of these purple spots is unusual; I would recommend that you schedule an appointment with whoever performed your injections. It is not likely to be bruising or tindel effect.

Answer: Bruising After Lip Augmentation with fillers (juvederm, restylane, volbella) This is difficult to answer without pictures. It is unlikely that bruising would appear 5 weeks after injections. I recommend following up with your Doctor. If necessary, your injections can be reversed with hyaluronidase. It may take a series of treatments. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Purple spots after filler Thank you for your question cll12345. I understand your concern. Fillers are used to restore lost volume in and enhance the appearance of the face. Bruising is normal for the first 2 weeks after a treatment. After that it is unlikely related to the filler. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. But hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if necessary. Cold sores can be treated with antiviral medications. It would be advisable to return to your injector for a follow up visit. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
