The timing of the appearance of these purple spots is unusual; I would recommend that you schedule an appointment with whoever performed your injections. It is not likely to be bruising or tindel effect.
This is difficult to answer without pictures. It is unlikely that bruising would appear 5 weeks after injections. I recommend following up with your Doctor. If necessary, your injections can be reversed with hyaluronidase. It may take a series of treatments. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Dear cll12345,it is hard to give you an answer without a photo of your lips. Purple spots in the lips are usually caused by bruising. I would suggest you to check it with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you foryour question cll12345. I understand your concern. Fillers areused to restore lost volume in and enhance the appearance of the face. Bruising is normal for the first 2 weeks after a treatment. After that it is unlikely related to the filler. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. But hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if necessary. Cold sores can be treated with antiviral medications. It would be advisable to return to your injector for a follow up visit. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
