How can I correct crooked lips? (Photo)

Question

I have assymetrical lips like Lana Del Rey. Its not my teeth or jaw or anything thats behind it, its the shape of my lips. One side kind of sloops a bit lower and the other one is upturned. I tried fillers but they just give volume and do not adress the "crookedness". When I smile it looks pretty symeteical.

Hi and thank you for sharing your question here! No face is completely symmetrical and we all have some levels of asymmetry in our face and body, including the lips. If the degree of asymmetry in the lips reaches a level that becomes an issue to the patient, it can be best corrected by a combination of Botox and fillers injected skillfully in and around the lips and mouth. For best results, it is very important to do this slowly and gradually and in small steps, to make sure there is no over-correction on one side which might exacerbate the issues. Thank you for your question. Lip augmentation candidates include patients with asymmetrical lips. There are surgical lip lift options and non-surgical injectibles, including fillers and fat injections. We find a combination of treatments is successful as each patient needs a treatment tailor made for their unique face. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  I see your area of concern but each person has some underlying asymmetry to their face with a "long" and "short" side of the face.  In your case it appears that your left side (right in the picture) is the short side with some asymmetry seen in comparison to your right.  I do not think that any treatment will completely correct this. I have had very good success treating lip symmetry using
combinations of Botox, Fillers, and Skin tightening with lasers, micro needling
or radio frequency. Other options would be surgical and/or fat grafting. Be
sure to consult with a facial specialist.

You have a few options. PDO Nova threads can be used to improve shape and provide lift. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert.
