Hi There,Thank you for your question, Coolsculpting and EmSculpt are two different types of procedures. Coolsculpting permanently reduces 20%-25% of fat cells in each treatment area. This technology works by freezing the unwanted fat cells and permanently destroying them. Your body will then naturally dispose of the dead fat cells in a 2-3 months. Where as EmSculpt uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to induce powerful muscle contractions. This treatment will tone the muscle. It is not indicated to reduce fat, therefore if an adequate amount of subcutaneous fat is present this may not be the best treatment for you. I would advise you to meet with a physician to discuss your areas of concern and see which treatment would be best for you. Best of luck!
If you have small problem areas you can use non invasive methods like Coolsculpting with Vanquish or trusculpt iD to get small areas of fat reduced. Skin also tightens if you combine this with Exilis Ultra, Venus Legacy, and Inmode Forma/Contoura radiofrequency treatments. You boost the results from Coolsculpting if you add in Kybella injections to melt fat as well. We often combine Coolsculpting with shock therapy like ZWave, EVIVE, and Cellutone to get even faster results, more improvement, and less risk of combinations like nodules, swelling, neuropathy or paradoxical hyperplasia. Coolsculpting often takes a few treatments separated 8 to 12 weeks apart to get significant improvement. However, to get the most fat removal, contouring, skin tightening and definition, a VASER HI-DEF liposuction / liposculpture procedure with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite and fat grafting is your best bet. This will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a body contouring and hi-definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
We offer both CoolSculpting and EMSculpt at our practice. Which treatment is better would depend on each individuals concerns and the area of the body which we are treating. If your main issue is localized areas of bulky fat then CoolSculpting may be a better choice. If you have small areas of fat on your abdomen and are looking to tone, define, and build muscle while reducing smaller areas of fat then EMSculpt would be the better choice. The two treatments can also be used in combination to further enhance results. The best thing to do is to see an experienced physician for an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question! Coolsculpting targets the subcutaneous layer of fat cells (the pinchable layer of fat). It is amazing for targeting stubborn pockets of fat! It uses a freezing technology to freeze the target area to -11 degrees c, for a specific amount of time. The fat is then disposed of through your bodies lymphatic system over a period of 3-4 months. Emsculpt is the only machine on the market that can build muscle and shred fat at the same time. It is the equivalent of doing 20,000 squats or sit ups in 30 minutes. This is an amazing treatment to do if you are looking to tone and build your muscles or smooth out the area post coolsculpting!
Hello cg7734:CoolSculpting eliminates fat cells, permanently changing the contours of the body by reducing pockets of fat on many different areas of the body, almost anywhere on the body or neck.EmSculpt can bulk up muscles temporarily on the abdomen and buttock area. This can define your abdominal muscles if you are starting with a thin layer of fat over them, and enlarge the buttock muscles. They will lose their bulk over time and you will need to repeat the treatment. So they are not really competing treatments. They achieve different goals. I hope this helps a bit to answer your question. Sheryl Clark MD FAAD
Hello there! Coolsculpting and Emsculpt are two very different treatments. Coolsculpting is going to reduce fat in pinchable areas (love handles, belly, inner thighs..etc.). Emsculpt is going to tighten and strengthen your core abdominal muscles, as well as decrease a small amount of fat in the area treated. Emsculpt can make your abdomen appear smaller as it stimulates muscle growth in that area. Neither treatment tightens skin. I hope this helps! Sarah RN BSN
These are 2 different types of devices, and which is better for you will be entirely dependent on your body type, and the areas and amount of fat in question. CoolSculpting will only provide fat reduction, via cryolipolysis or "freezing fat", removing up to 24% of fat in the treated area, and is best intended for small localized areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. Emsculpt uses electro-magnetic energy, and while it may remove a small degree of fat, it is generally best intended to increase muscle mass, tone and definition. It can increase the muscle by up to 16%, which in reality is not a large degree, so it is best for those who are already in decent shape, and simply want increased tone and definition, most effective for the abs and for gluteal butt-lift. In addition, the effect is not permanent, so if you want to maintain the results, you will have to repeat the treatments on a regular basis.
Thank you for you question. CoolSculpting is great at treating pinchable fat. On average it will reduce subcutaneous fat by 20-24 % per area treated. CoolSculpting has many different applicators that will vary in sizes and shape .This enable us to treat unwanted fat starting from the chin and all the way down to knees. EMSCULPT on the other hand is the only machine in the world that will build muscle and destroy fat. However, fat reduction is only for the abdomen. EMSCULPT can be done at the abdomen ( increased muscle definition and fat reduction ) or the buttock ( muscle hypertrophy only ) for a more athletic and lifted booty. One EMSCULPT session, which is only 30 min, equals to 20 000's contractions. 4 sessions are needed at the beginning. I recommend visiting a clinic experienced with CoolSculpting and EMSCULPT for a proper consultation and treatment plan. Best of luck!
Coolsculpting destroys 20-25 per cent of fat cells that are in an area that can be pinched. As long as you don’t gain weight the fat reduction from Coolsculpting is permanent and the frozen fat cells are removed by the lymph system. You will see your final results in 3 months. EMsculpt is the only option to build muscle in the abs or buttocks. In the abs EMsculpt increases definition of the muscles and provides some fat reduction. The increase in muscle tone starts immediately as you will get 20,000 contractions of the muscle in each 30 minute treatment session. In the buttocks the contractions produce a noninvasive buttock lift. After four sessions spaced two days apart you see a difference. Then you maintain your results with boosters as the muscles will want that stimulation again to maintain their strength and definition. Depending on your goals you can do another session or two every 3-6 months. We offer both Coolsculpting and EMsculpt and would be glad to provide a free consult. Thanks for your question and good luck!
EMSCULPT is designed to increase muscle tone and remove a bit of fat limited to the abdomen and buttocks. You must maintain an exercise program to maintain the muscle tone or repeat the treatment. CoolSculpting(r) is useful to treat fat from the chin to the knees. No special follow up or exercise program is needed except to maintain your weight to maintain your new contour. The choice depends on your goal - muscle tone or eliminate fat. Also compare the cost with consultations. .
