Do I have nonsurgical options to fix bad stomach lipo? (Photos)

Question

I had a BBL that the doctor really messed up my stomach as a result of. I am left with a lumpy, bumpy, and uneven stomach with an unattractive shaped belly button as a result. Do I have any non surgical options such as Kybella or Coolsculpting? How much is surgery to correct bad lipo and recovery time? Can my stomach ever look normal again realistically?

Correcting unevenness after liposuction can be very tricky- there is scar tissue left behind, and treatment usually requires a combination of adding fat in some areas (fat grafting), removing fat, and breaking up scar tissue.Although CoolSculpting is an amazing technique to remove fat, I would not recommend it to correct liposuction contour irregularities.

To improve your final results, I recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. However you may need a revision for best outcomes. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Renuvion/InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. To get a better understanding of your options, I suggest scheduling a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon. They will be able to better assess your concerns and create a treatment plan that achieves your ideal results. Prices will vary based on the extent of correction and if you go with an option like CoolSculpting, there will not be a recovery period. It's hard to tell but CoolSculpting could likely reduce the irregular fat and improve the tone of your stomach.

Thank you for your question! It is not uncommon to see a little residual fullness around the belly button. Sometimes it is just fat, sometimes above the bellybutton it can be some skin redundancy. It’s best to have an exam and I do think either Coolsculpting or Kybella are good options. Even a little touch up liposuction is easy to do in the office under local. Best of luck!

Given that, I would still recommend talking to your original surgeon about re-treatment free of charge. Thank you for your question.  Asymmetry, or lumpy/bumpy, after liposuction is normal.  That being said, if you are unhappy with your results, I would recommend discussing with your surgeon or seeking a second opinion. Some situations may be amenable to non invasive correction where others may require touch up liposuction to smooth those areas out.  In the end, it is usually possible to have results that make you happy.
