Four hair transplant surgeries in the early 90’s. Looking to refine my hairline. I met with two doctors and one said FUE, (500) the other said either FUE or strip. On one hand I wouldn’t want strip if it would yield little hair due to past graphs. On the other hand FUE might give me a mothball look. At this point I am confused. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I don’t want to make a wrong decision. I should mention I have a very tight scalp, perhaps due to past surgeries.
Answer: Strip or FUE? Based on your history and description it seems that FUE (Follicular Unit Excision) would be the only safe way to harvest more grafts. The bigger question is whether or not there are enough grafts to actually make a change in your hairline. This must be addressed with a physical examination of your donor area.

Answer: FUE is just a harvesting method. It does not relate to results. If you want to keep your hair very short you may want the FUE FUE is just a harvesting method. It does not relate to results. Answer: FUE and tight scalp This really depends on how tight your scalp is. Many patients who have had FUT, choose FUT again since you don't have to shave the donor area as well as other reasons. I think you mean moth eaten, as moth balls don't have much to do with hair transplant.

Answer: FUE vs. FUT With multiple procedures and a tight scalp, FUE is your best option. The extractions should be scattered throughout your donor area, and that will prevent over harvesting the donor area.

Answer: FUE vs FUT strip surgery for hairline refinement. I advice you have a FUE for hairline design; you would get the desired hairline in justone sesssion of dense packing hair transplant. There will be almost no scar or obvious marks nor at the donor area neither at transplantation site with FUE tech. But ıf you shave your hair with razor, you or others may only realize a tiny white dots on your skin when looked very closely..They are very tiny and invisible scars of punch insertions . Actually I have no complaint about those scars before… But you would have a long, 2-4 mm widht pretty visible scar on back of your head in FUT technique (which I never use that technique any more)
