Should I give my bandaged incisions some air?

I am 5 weeks post op fleur de lis tummy tuck, and the T section and small area horizontally and small are vertically, are still discharging, but very minimally. I am treating them with antibacterial ointment prescribed by my PS. Just wondering if letting them air out a bit would assist in forming scab sooner. I lost 183 lbs with gastric bypass, and they removed 13 lbs of skin. I realize the T section is usually the section that takes the longest to scab up. Very happy with the results so far.
