The prescriptions that you are given for a tummy tuck procedure will vary among practitioners. I will typically give patients pain medication, an antibiotic, and a muscle relaxer. Some patients find that the muscle relaxer is more effective than the pain medication because it can often address a source of the pain (abdominal muscle spasm). Depending on your risks, some patients will also be prescribed an anti-coagulation regimen after the procedure to help prevent blood clots.
Thank you for your question. Most TT patients will require analgesics and antibiotics post surgery. The analgesics prescribed will vary with each surgeon. Please discuss medications with your surgeon. All the best,
Thank you for your question. In my practice I educate my patients to have appropriate expectations on pain. swelling and activity level. I teach wound care and other limitations, also what to look for and what should be a sign that one needs to call our office. Most patients are prescribed analgesics and antibiotics for a limited time. The antibiotics are not started until after the procedure.
This is up to your plastic surgeon but in general my patients will receive antibiotics, pain medication and lovenox (blood thinner) for use after the procedure.

While I do not see a problem, you should consult both your regular doctor and your neurosurgeon prior to any elective surgery. Good Luck.
You didn't say in your question, but if you are referring to a tummy tuck, in my practice, I generally start people walking the day of surgery, but no vigorous activity or exercise for 6 weeks. Every surgeon and their recommendations are different so you will certainly want to check with your...
Dear piojitoMost gallbladder surgery is performed through small incisions and that should be very safe at this stage. best of luck with your surgery.
We can talk about technical details of the operation, but it's of little importance at this point. An issue that has not been raised by my colleagues is how much visceral fat you have in your abdomen. If the abdominal wall is tight due to intra-abdominal contents, tightening it further will not...
Congrats on you children! I know you have your hands full. But diastasis recti is easily repaired with a tummy tuck. Most common is a 2-layer repair with sutures and mesh is not needed. It is very unlikely, (almost unheard of), for the repair to fail or not be successful....
