Answer: Swelling after Juvederm--results take 2 weeks Swelling can last 1-2 weeks after injections. Keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Answer: How long will swelling last around the mouth after injectable fillers? Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Swelling after filler placement is quite common due to the thin nature of the lip tissues. This swelling, and your results, will steadily improve over the first 3-5 days with up to 2 weeks needed for fillers to soften and the tissues to appear more natural. You can reduce the swelling by using cold compresses and elevating your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back. You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Hang in there!
