Most Doctors will start with one syringe. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising.I hope this helps.
Juvederm comes in syringes, Botox comes in units. As you can see from the other answers, it will depend on what your goals are. If you are new to fillers and want just a little bit of plumping, then one syringe or less will typically be adequate. I do have some patients who like the look of a much fuller lip and we use more than one syringe, maybe two full syringes. Talk to your injector and make sure your goals are clearly understood. Good luck!Sincerely,Dr. Michelle Spring
It depends on your goals. Fillers come in syringes and most syringes contain 1ml of product. I would start with 1 syringe and then add more if desired. Make sure you find an experienced physician injector and communicate your goals with them clearly. Best wishes.
Dear Apple2324,it depends on your anatomy and desired results. In most cases one syringe of Juvederm is enough for lip augmentation. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Juvederm comes in milliliters, not units. The amount of product needed is dependent upon your desired results. a typical amount to begin with is between 0.5ml to 1ml. The wonderful thing about Juvederm is that you can always go back and add more if you want a more dramatic effect. I recommend meeting with an experienced injector in your area for a consultation to learn more.
The number of syringes necessary to plump up your lips will depend on your overall goals. I find that on average, most patients do very well with one syringe for both the upper and lower lips. For touch-ups, you may need less than one and for large dramatic differences, you may need more than one. It is always best to start with a single syringe since you can simply inject another one at the same time if your lips do not appear as "plump" as you would like. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Juvederm is not measured in units but in CC's or milliliters. On the average a person needs 1 ml or 1 syringe of Juvederm product for optimal results. Some people do require more, but that should be spaced as 1 to 2 weeks apart. Good luck from New York City
