Also in Europe? Have been getting Juvederm ultra 3 in lips without it, suspect it is not genuine...Never get swollen and last approx 2 months

The vast majority of the products, our manufacture with the numbing ingredient inside, but some people allergic and saw all the company still offer the product without the numbing ingredient.For your situation, I suspect that you need to do a little bit more research on who is injecting you and what kind of reputation they have in the community. There is Juvederm Ultra which does not have any lidocaine mixed in it and there is Juvederm Ultra Plus which does. The lips is an area where filler is metabolized quickly by the body as it is an area of constant movement. You probably are not having enough volume added and may want to try using more during your next treatment. I would consult with your injector or other board certified facial plastic surgeons to address your concerns.

Answer: Lidocaine and fillers Not all products are pre-mixed with Lidocaine. In Europe you will find nearly all fillers with and without Lidocaine as per injector's preference. There are some who are allergic to Lidocaine and could not benefit from dermal fillers if all were pre-mixed. You should be able to get with- and without Lidocaine without difficulties. In the US, fillers without Lidocaine are more expensive. Juvederm Ultra 3 is a product for the markets outside of the US. Good luck!
