Thank you for this great question. There is no contraindication to getting botox or fillers while on a blood thinning medication. There is a slightly increased risk of bruising and bleeding, but as long as you understand this risk, you should be ok to proceed. Make sure you are seeing a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery for a consultation.Best of luck!Dallas R. Hello and thank you for your question. Blood thinners will not eliminate the use of fillers for you. There is a much greater chance of bruising after your injection. I would not stop taking any medication before speaking with your primary care doctor. If you chose to do filler, make sure your injector knows about your medications. There is a product called Arnicare or Arnica that can help with bruising and swelling. You should be able to find it at your local pharmacy. You can start a few days prior to yur visit. Arnica comes in a gel and oral tablet. You must go to a board certified, experienced cosmetic doctor to discuss your best options and concerns. I hope this helps, good luck.
Thank you for your question. You can still have fillers while taking blood thinners. However, there is a greater chance of bruising. Please discuss with your provider and always seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
Thank you for your question! Being on a blood thinner does not necessarily stop you from getting fillers/botox/smaller surgery. The main change in risk would be risk of increased bruising that may persist for longer. Certainly you can speak to your prescribing doctor and find out if you can take Arnica montana a few days ahead of and after your filler to decrease the risk of bruising and help it to resolve faster. As always, make sure to consult with board-certified plastic surgeons or dermatologists for best recommendations!
You can still have fillers while on blood thinners, but you have an increased risk for bruising. Discuss all medications and supplements that you take with your injector. Icing the area prior to injections or the use of Arnica may be helpful.
There is no reason you cannot have facial injections, whether neurotoxin, filler, or both while anticoagulated (ie on a blood thinner). You will be at slightly increased risk of bruising, but that is all.
Xarelto is not a contraindication for Botox and fillers. However, there may be more bruising associated with the treatment as a result of Xarelto. Consult with an experienced and expert physician injector to understand your options.
You can have Botox and filler injections while taking Xarelto as long as you understand and accept the increased risk of bruising. I would not recommend stopping the blood thinner without talking to the prescribing physician.

As long as you realize that there may be some more bruising involved then usually and you inform your treating physician of the blood thinner you're currently taking, there shouldn't be an issue here. There are many things a proficient doctor can do to decrease the amount of bruising during fillers. Good luck from New York City
Thank you for your question. Intraline fillers seem to be Hyaluronic Acid based, so you should be alright to add Juvederm product into your lips in a few month. Make sure to see an expert injector for assessment and treatment plan.
Thank you for your question! There's absolutely nothing abnormal about your lips and if you feel they're dry, simply use a good lip balm. Best of luck!
It should be fine to sky dive two weeks after filler injections. At that point any bruising or swelling should have resolved. See your injector if you have concerns.
