Is a genioplasty the best procedure for me? (Photo)

Question

I am considering a genioplasty as my chin is weak and I don’t have good jaw definition. Will this work or do I need jaw surgery? Also am I the right candidate for a rhinoplasty as I am thinking about having them done at the same time.

Jaw surgery is a major procedure and is mostly done to fix mechanical issues. I believe you can achieve the results you are looking for with a genioplasty. By brining your chin forward and down, it would add length and definition to your jawline, while brining balance to your profile. For added contour, you may consider buccal fat removal with/without jawline lipo. With that, some people no longer find the need for a rhinoplasty after their chin augmentation because their face is more balanced and their nose appears smaller. That being said, both procedures can be done at the same time. I would especially consider a rhinoplasty if you have breathing issues. It is common for a rhinoplasty to be performed at the same time as a chin implant. You might want to consider for submental liposuction at the same time.

It is very common to do a rhinoplasty with a genioplasty.  A small chin implant should restore normal dimensions to your face.
