Hello. I had rhinoplasty with grafts 8 days ago. I was told to use Mupirocin 2% ointment in my nose. I did it twice already. Then I read its instruction which says - dermatologic use only. Do not ise in nose. Im confused. Its just regular bactroban, not nasal. Did I harm myself. Im so nervous. Please answer me.
Answer: Ointment after nose surgery Thank you for the question! It's unlikely that your antibiotic ointment would cause any problems. In fact, this product is often used for the nose. However, it's always good to be cautious so I'd advise to consult your plastic surgeon. He or she will know best how to handle your postoperative care. An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to assess your needs and obtain expert medical advice. Best of luck!

Answer: Mupirocin in the Nose This is an antibiotic ointment that I use routinely after rhinoplasty surgery and have done so for years. I doubt you have done any harm but please contact your surgeon and verify his/her recommendations.
