My nose looks wide and thick after rhinoplasty surgery is this just swelling?

Thank you for your question. Swelling is common after rhinoplasty, especially 16 days after rhinoplasty, and will conceal your results. As your swelling subsides, you will be able to notice your improvement. Always follow the recovery guidelines provided by your board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. It's normal for your nose to be swollen in the first several months after rhinoplasty. Particularly when a significant reduction in the dorsal hump and nasal tip are performed. 
Continue to follow-up with your surgeon and discuss with him/her nasal massage and possible steroid injections to help the postoperative swelling.

Hi and thanks for your question.  Swelling after rhinoplasty is the most problematic thing for patients.  It can take a while to get better and can make you feel like your nose is much bigger than before surgery.  Follow your surgeon's recommendations and it will take 6-8 months before your nose will be the way it will be.

It is common to feel like your nose is large after surgery.  It takes months to a year for all the swelling to subside following Rhinoplasty.  Follow up with your surgeon so he can monitor your progress.  Congrats on your new nose!
