Do you happen to know how they got there, from birth or trauma or, etc? Depending upon the cause and the amount of scar tissue and quality of tissue, fat transfer or buttock implants may be considered. If you are also considering more volume or projection to your overall buttock, then buttock implants would be the preferred option with better long term success. If there is not much scar tissue in the area then fat transfer may work OK. Glad to help
Thank you so much for your question and your attached photo! It is difficult to answer with complete certainty since I have not examined you myself, but there are several options available to fill in indentations on the body including fat transfer and filler. Fat transfer to the site of the indentation will usually provide more volume replacement. Results will depend on how much excess fat you have on other areas of the body available for transfer and how much scar tissue is present in the indented areas. Occasionally, a scar will have to be released underneath the skin prior to replacing the volume. Appropriate filler option for this area includes Renuva or Sculptra. Make sure to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon, good luck!
Dear Vivid455734,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from fat transfer. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello Dear, Fixing this look would be possible by injecting some of your own fat to your buttocks. It can be reshaped according to your desires. Firstly, a liposuction must be done to get the extra fat out from your body and it should be injected where the dimple are. These two steps would be quite enough to solve your problem. Be safe, be happy.
Thanks for the 1 posted photo. That is NOT a dimple but a serious in dented lateral buttock. How did this happen? Best to virtual consult with.... But I would use fat grafting and/or injection therapies.
To give you a quality assessment we need quality information and your picture is a little hard to interpret. Try adding a few other pictures showing different angles. Typically contour irregularities on the buttocks are caused by some type of cellulite or connective tissue that’s pulling in on the skin. from your one picture this looks more like it’s directly related to fat distribution and may respond well to Liposuction with fat transfer. That is not the case for divots caused by connective tissue which can be made worse with fat transfer. It’s very important to understand The underlying causes or ideology of the problem because that changes the decision of which treatment will work. Regardless I recommend you and all patients have multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your community. If you opt for liposuction and fat transfer then you need to vet each provider properly by asking them to open up their portfolio and show you their full collection of before and after pictures. seeing a handful of pre-selected pictures representing the best results of a provider‘s career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of an average results look like in the hands of each provider. Your situation is slightly unique so you may not find providers who have a lot of examples exactly like yours.Still, if the treatment is going to be liposuction and fat transfer that you wanna know that the doctor is good at that which would mean seeing BBL results for example. And experienced surgeon should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of before and after pictures of fat transfer results or simply BBL outcomes.I suggest patients avoid virtual consultations whenever possible and continue having consultations until you feel very comfortable you found the right provider.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
