I am 2 months post op from Lipo 360 and am overall recovering well. I do have general questions about what recovery will look like moving forward but my surgeon has not returned any phone calls since my two week post op appointment. Swelling has gone down tremendously and incisions have closed. How much longer, generally speaking, should I wait before going to a sauna and/or float therapy and will that help with inflammation?
Answer: Liposuction recovery Thank you so much for your question dear. Sorry to hear your doctor’s office and your surgeon is not returning your calls, but happy to know you are doing well and your inflammation is almost gone. Answering your question you have 2 months post op and your incision are completely close, you can start your sauna or float therapy without any problems. Hope this can helps. Dr. Quiroz

Answer: Surgery You can always contact your surgeon's nurse. At two months, you should still be wearing garments during the day, but can do any activities, except tanning, that you like.

Answer: Recovery I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been able to reach your surgeon. I encourage you to speak to the office nurse or staff about your questions so that they can be addressed. Each surgeon has her/his own protocol on when certain activities can be resumed. However att two months post op from liposuction typically you are able to resume normal activities.

Answer: Post operative care Thank you for your question. Each Surgeon will have their own post surgical protocol they wish their patients to follow. With that being said typically 8 weeks post op is an okay time to return to all normal activities as long as there are no complications occurring. I would suggest trying to schedule a follow up appt with your Surgeon to be seen in person. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Bookguru_, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
