Had juvederm to smokers lines (today is day 4 post fillers) and as swelling is dispersing I’ve got this bump under my Cupid’s bow on my lip. Any ideas? Is this still swelling?
Answer: This area can certainly still be some swelling This area can certainly still be some swelling, but could also be a larger deposit of product (Juvaderm) that needs to be addressed. Depending on your exam, massage may help, or you may need an enzyme to dissolve some of the product. This can only be determined with time and by an in-person exam. I would recommend follow up with your injecting physician to know for sure.

Answer: Lump and bumps after lip injections It appears you have some consolidation of the filler to the medial upper lip/cupids bow. When filler is placed and swelling occurs (which is completely expected), the rush of water/inflammatory cells can clump the newly placed filler and leave a lump. Given you are only 4 days post-procedure, I would recommend icing the area and lightly massaging the bump with vaseline or aquaphor. Additionally, allow a full 2 weeks for all swelling to dissipate. If the bump remains, please see your provider for assistance in removing the consolidated filler with hylaronidase (a reversal product for hylaronic acid fillers) or for more aggressive massage techniques to the area.
