1 year post op Breast Implant, is it ok to continue to wear the sports bra or is it better not to?

Hello i got my implants 1 year ago but continue to wear sports bra to bed as i heard its ok to do so. Is it ok to continue to wear the sports bra or is it better not to. I was planning to wear the sports bra to bed forever.

Thank you for your question.At one year, you can sleep with or without the sports bra. It shouldn't make any difference at this point.

To be sure, see two or more experienced,
board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are
a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery.

If you'd like, there is no harm in wearing your sports bra forever (as long as it's comfortable). It provides extra support even while you sleep, which won't adversely affect your results.

i don't think that you are doing any harm by continuing to wear the sports bra. On the other hand I don't think it is necessary. Check in with your surgeon.

Thanks for your question.  At one year, it really makes no difference whether you sleep in your bra or not.  It certainly will not hurt to keep the bra in place at one year or later.  I ask my patients to wear their underwire for 2-3 months postop to help hold the implants in place while the scar capsule forms.  Check with your surgeon if you have specific questions.  Good luck.

Thanks for your question.  At 1 year after your augmentation, whatever you are comfortable with is fine.  If you feel better wearing a sports bra to bed each night, then continue to do so.  In my opinion, you will not do any harm by doing so.  A follow-up visit with your surgeon would be a good idea as well to assure that all is as it should be 1 year after your surgery.  I always appreciate visits from my patients after they are fully recovered so that I can assure that they got the result they wanted and are happy.  Best wishes!

It isn't necessary to wear a sports bra a year after your augmentation, however, there is nothing wrong with wearing one to sleep in , you can't harm anything.
