This operation has honestly changed my life. I am 5ft 7 size 10 frame and I was previously wearing 32FF/G size bras. I was out of proportion and always felt extremely conscious of my appearance. Trying to find an outfit to wear for work, for nights out or even just the gym was extremely frustrating. Being in my mid 20’s I wanted to do something before I spent more miserable years not being able to find a nice bikini or wear a strapless/low cut dress.Because of my frame my boobs had lost their shape significantly and I struggled with confidence. Deciding to have the operation wasn't an overnight decision, something I had considered from when I was 18. The morning of the operation I was made to feel really relaxed and comfortable and knew exactly what I was doing every step of the way. Post op, it is tough. You definitely need help with everything for a few weeks and I was advised to take it as easily as possibly.I couldn't recommend Mr West enough, every step of the way I felt comfortable and knew what was happening. The post op care was brilliant and the follow up appointments have also been great
Having spent time researching the procedure and plastic surgeon, DR West most definitely proved to be the best choice of surgeon. With his professional manner, and guidance throughout the whole procedure he made the experience as comfortable as possible. After voicing my concerns of complications following the procedure he assured me that he would not discharge me until I was happy. Unfortunately there was a slight complication and he stayed true to his word and went above and beyond to sort it out. I couldn’t recommend him enough and have said I am more than willing to speak to any of his future patients (via his secretary) should they have any questions or assurances that I can help with through my experience. I have now been discharged and would definitely make Mr West my chosen surgeon should I ever require a plastic surgeon in the future.
After many months searching for a good surgeon, I was obviously anxious and apprehensive about meeting Mr West, but he immediately made me feel at ease, he listened to me and guided me through the process and explained what to expect with the surgery. I found him to be caring, understanding and professional, in every way. He has changed my life, I am 4 months Post Op and the results are amazing, I feel so confident now, he is an absolutely brilliant surgeon, and you won’t be disappointed with the results, even the aftercare is spot on, just can’t thank him enough.
I’m absolutely devastated with the results! I had a dot on my nose and was being vein and asked if this could be removed also got eyelid lift surgery, my eyelids do look better even though the right eyelid has now sagged, he suggest to have a punch biopsy on my nose, I didn’t even know what that was but trusted him, I now have a brown dint on my nose absolutely devastated, this has caused me to be very depressed, as it’s took a whole year to heal, why couldn’t he of been honest and said leave your nose alone, I have paid to have my nose look absolutely awful
Do not have surgery by this man. The “care” I revived was disgraceful. I was dismissed / ignored and lied too by dr West and his colleagues. I had an open wound for months and a deformed stomach and scar with severe chronic pain a constant infections - he’s ruined my life! Stay away.
I had upper and lower eyelid surgery in 2018. I was very very disappointed with the results. Mr West stated that he could not do anymore surgery to correct matters. However following a formal complaint he undertook corrective surgery in 2019. I am still very unhappy with the results and as there has been no response to my email sent to him a week ago, I am now entering another complaint. Both eyes have pulls and ridges at the sides, right eye shows slight signs of an eye bag returning and area under left eye has indentstions which were not there prior to surgery.
Over the past few years I have noticed my neck starting to sag, I'm 49 and of slim build, but unfortunately this is heredity. I had tried Ultherapy which was expensive, very painful and didn’t work for me. I thought chin liposuction was the only way I could get rid for good. I was very nervous and went for 2 consultations, the first Dr I visited didn’t fill me with confidence at all, so being in the UK I checked the BAAPS website and found a registered surgeon with them, Dr Christian West, he was more expensive, but after more research and reading some reviews I decided I wasn’t willing to take any chances with someone who wasn’t BAAPS registered. He was brilliant, totally put me at ease and said he didn’t recommend a lower neck lift as my skin was still in great condition, but chin liposuction. I had a couple more follow up appointments just to go through the procedure etc and I decided to go ahead. I had my surgery 10 days ago, here are some photos, I’m still bruised, but can already see a huge improvement. I had a general anaesthetic and I'm so glad I did. I had to wear my compression every day for a week, and now I I have to wear in bed for another 5 weeks. Updated on 8 Jun 2019: Updated on 8 Jun 2019: Updated on 8 Jun 2019: Updated on 8 Jun 2019:
Hi. It's normal to get some wrinkling of the lower eyelid skin when you smile, and this is just part of our expressions and character. People also get creases to the side of the eye, which we call "crow's feet." However I imagine, given your age and the good condition of your skin, that you probably don't have any problem with creases, wrinkles or eye bags when you're not smiling. I suggest you could try botox in the first instance, which can help relax and smooth out the wrinkles around the eye. Lower eyebag surgery (lower eyelid blepharoplasty) will also help smooth out the junction between your lower eyelid and cheek, it removes a small amount of excess eyebag skin, and a mid-face lift can be performed at the same time to lift the cheeks slightly. This is a day surgery procedure that is normally performed under general anaesthetic (asleep). You should speak directly to a plastic surgeon. Often you can get a consultation free of charge and free of any obligation.
Hi. You don't need a tummy tuck. You look great! You are slim, with well toned abdominal muscles, and you have the sort of tummy most women would die for after having children! I can see that there is no significant diastasis recti, you have no loose excess skin, and you have only a very thin layer of subcutaneous fat under the skin, so liposuction won't help and tummy tuck is not suitable for you. I suggest that the wrinkling of the skin when you flex your abs is normal in very slim people, and the only way to change this appearance is to gain some weight and body fat. I don't think surgery will improve things.
You will have internal stitches in the pubic region which take most of the tension of the tummy tuck. These stitches pull the upper skin down and hold the scar down in the bikini line. These stitches don’t lie directly beneath the scar but may be lower down. Usually these stitches dissolve after 3-6 months. However if you are in discomfort and you are concerned, please check with your surgeon and get a review.
What you describe sounds similar to something that doctors call Dowager’s hump, or more impolitely a “Buffalo” hump. Many doctors report this is amenable to office based liposuction, but my advice is that liposuction in this region doesn’t very work well because the fat here is too thick and fibrous. For a more effective and long lasting reduction of the hump, I often advise an operation to formally excise of the fat pad. This gives a more noticeable improvement and smooth contour to the back if the neck.
Thanks for your question. Generally the more weight you can lose before surgery the better result you’ll get with a tummy tuck, because more of the excess skin and fat can be removed. However, my realistic advice is to achieve a weight you think you can keep stable, because any weight gain or loss after surgery will affect and change the good results. You need to see a surgeon for detailed advice tailored for you. A good surgeon will assess how much of your belly is due to loose fat and skin, and how much is due to weakness and bulging of the tummy muscles after having children (diastasis recti). If the bulge is due to muscle weakness, formal repair of the diastasis, (such as Rives-Stoppa retro rectus mesh repair) at the same time as tummy tuck will give you the flattest tummy possible, and should meet your expectations. Liposuction is good for smoothing out any bulges of the hips and flanks, to improve your figure at the sides. Much of the skin looseness and muscle weakness resulting from pregnancy should correct itself over six months after delivery, so you may start considering your surgical options six months after c-section. Good luck in making a very positive change.
