I had a botched hair transplant 2 years ago. About 1500 grafts were placed at the frontal hairline (only 30% growth). The hairline design is horrible with many rough double-hair pluggy grafts and improper angles. My donor is depleted. A doctor suggested to move the hairline back first to the red marker and eventually create a more realistic hairline with whatever donor I got left on the side. Will FUE leave noticeable scarring when removing these grafts? Any before and after pics?
Answer: FUE leaves little round scars. If you want to harvest donor hair from your hairline, you need to keep this scarring in mind. FUE leaves little round scars. If you want to harvest donor hair from your hairline, you need to keep this scarring in mind. Everyone heals differently.

Answer: Wil FUE leave noticeable scars You may want to ask your surgeon to do a trial and approximately 5 grafts and see how it appears. It will very probably be quite acceptable, and a major improvement.

Answer: Hairline repair You've been through a lot so you're well versed in potential complications and the need for even more surgery. That is option is certainly available, but perhaps a second opinion will be useful. Whenever you cut your into skin, unsightly scarring is possible. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Pluggy Graft Removal From Hairline Using FUE Although theoretically FUE wounds heal with scars, these scars are very difficult to detect and are usually well tolerated. In your situation, if the hairline design isn't too low and the angles of these transplanted hairs aren't too wrong, then a practical decision could be made by just filling in from the existing line to cover up this area. The goal would be to avoid FUE scars at the hairline, avoid the graft wastage that may occur while removing these grafts and reduce surgical sessions to get the quickest improvement.
