Hi. I am having a tummy tuck and breast augmentation on December 8th and I’m worried I’m going too big. I am currently a c cup and elected to go up to 485cc implants. Can yall give me advice please. My dr was very rushed with me today and I feel I made an impulsive decision. Last time I went for my pre-op, he wasn’t there so they rescheduled me for today. When he came I , he measured me and gave me two options for maximal look for my build and size (I’m 5’0 and 135 lbs).
Answer: Implant size The size of the implant is based on the width of your breast , that determines the diameter of the implant and the shape of the breast that you want to achieve: natural or upper pole fullness. Once you answer these questions, then you'll have the cc.

Answer: Likely a Good Size While the size sounds big, based on your apparent chest and breast width it will likely be a good option for you. You will likely need an implant of that volume and width to fit the breast pocket appropriately. The most important thing is that your doctor uses your own tissue measurements (called Tissue Based Planning) to fit you for an implant and not just impulsive fitting.

Answer: Implant size Dear chercasanova, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Is 485cc too much You are relatively small, 5'0, and 135lbs. A 485cc implant is a big implant. That will make you a large DD breast size. If this is what you want, then go for it. If you want to be smaller then a DD, go with a smaller implant.

Answer: Implant selection If you felt rushed into your implant selection you need to make another appointment with your surgeon's office. In addition to volume you need to consider type, profile, and style. The correct implant will be based on your measurements and goals for surgery. Many surgeons have sample implants you can "try on" to give you an idea of how you may look after surgery. Based on your photo alone it appears 485cc may be too large for your frame. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.
