Voluma can improve the projection of the chin, but it is a temporary solution. There is also a real risk of blockage of the facial artery, which can cause tissue death. An acquaintance of ours just had this done, and is now undergoing hyperbaric therapy after multiple treatments of hyaluronidase after voluma was accidentally injected into the facial artery. Through this is a small injection, adverse outcomes can occur. Oromaxillofacial surgeons are masters at bony re-structuring of the jaws, which would permanently correct your facial structure. I encourage you to begin by visiting with an experienced injector to discuss your goals for treatment. If you are concerned about an "orange peel" look to the chin, the correct treatment is Botox. If you are wanting to impact the shape and volume of the chin, then you can consider fillers.

Thanks for your question and the photos you provided. I would agree that you have chin retrusion and 3 mL would be a great place to start. When looking at your chin/neck region, you may also want to consider skin tightening of the chin and neck to improve the angle of your jawline and neck.

If you like the 3 mL of filler to the chin, you may eventually want to convert to a chin implant for a more permanent look. This procedure is easily tolerated under general anesthesia with a small incision under the chin. Good luck, be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.
