Cheek volume can be addressed in many different ways to be tailored to the individuals needs. Absolutely, a softer filler can be used on the mid cheeks to improve fat loss. Using a cannula would be a favourable treatment technique to address hollowness in the middle of the cheek.

Hello. Thank you for your question. Voluma can be injected just into the apples of your cheek without tapering up the zygoma. When you go for your appointment just let your injector know your concerns. You can get some lift, but you cannot expect an entire lower face lift with just injecting Voluma.

The standard for places for reinjecting Voluma are described as V1, V2, V3, and V4. These corresponded to the zygomatic area, the lateral orbital area of the malar prominence, the medial orbital area of the malar prominence, and the sub-zygomatic cheek area. To this, I have added the V3.5 area which runs from the area below the canthus on the malar area down toward the V4 area. Each of these areas has its own problems and can develop independent of the other areas. You, obviously, have a very prominent V1 area which does not need to be filled. If, however, the other areas are deficient then Voluma is excellent at accomplishing this, with the exception of the V4 area which is not overlying any bone. Although Voluma can be used there, a product like Vollure tends to work better since it is softer and can be placed in the superficial fat compartment. Make certain that whoever you see for injections is an expert in these areas.
