The technician used a total of 2 syringes of Juvederm, 1 Vollure + 1 Volbella. I understand it can take up to two weeks for swelling and lumps to go down. During and after the procedure I noticed she didn’t do much massaging. To be honest I feel like the I look more puffy around the smile lines. As for lips, I am going to be patient and wait a bit longer but still a little concerned about how it looks. What do you think?
Answer: 5 Days post Filler Hi Natashia, Five days after injection is too soon to see your final results. Without knowing what you looked like prior to injection it is difficult to appreciate how swollen you probably appear. Currently your lips look a little out of balance with both each other and your face. I believe that will be better in a few days. Hope this helps.

Answer: Swelling post nasolabial fold and lip filler Thank you for including pictures - very helpful. Before correction of your N/L folds I would have put filler in the hollowness of your cheeks. I believe this would've resulted in more facial aesthetic balance and you may not have needed as much (if any) in your N/L folds. With regard to the lip, I have some patients that request a more "Liv Tyler" look in which we enhance the upper lip only. Otherwise, if you were going for a more classic lip, the lower lip should've been treated as well. At 5 days you could still have some lingering swelling.

Answer: Swelling after Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella)--Wait 2 weeks, reverse with hyaluronidase It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can be asymmetrical, and last 1-2 weeks after filler injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Nasolabial fold/upper lip swelling/puffyness . . Hi there, Based on the photos you are providing, this seems to be a classic case of "less is more". You have a very delicate and slender face with endomorphic anatomical features and the amount of dermal filler injected may have been a bit too much for your face type. Also only getting the upper lip treated without also injecting the lower lip in order to maintain natural anatomical balance has thrown off your upper to lower lip esthetic ratio and given you the classic "duck bill platypus" look which is an archetypal look resulting when only the upper lip is treated with little to no consideration to lower lip proportions. The upper 2/3 of your nasolabial folds seem okay but the combination of overfilled upper lip and filled lower 1/3 of your nasolabial fold is creating a cumulative lumping effect right above your lip commissures which again give you that "duck bill" look. My advise would be to simply wait it out and let your body metabolize the product down a bit and during your next session A) have a doctor inject you B) make sure you lower lip is also treated. The only correction recommended is treating the lower lip to help bring more balance to your results. Good luck!
