Hi, thank you for your question! Yes, unfortunately there can be great deal of swelling after a Miradry treatment. The swelling is due to the injectable numbing but should subside within a few days.If the swelling does not subside within the week I would recommend following up with your provider.

Swelling is normal after miradry treatment. We use arnica prior to treatment, ice and of measures to reduce swelling. This will resolve relatively quickly.
Thank you for your question. Yes it is common to swell after Miradry and that amount of swelling is in the normal range. I suspect you will be very pleased with your results as the swelling subsides. Icing immediately after the procedure and for the next few days and taking a Non-Steroidal AntiInflammatory medication such as ibuprofen will help with the swelling and any discomfort. The swelling will subside within a few days and completey resolve within a few weeks.
