Question

Had rhinoplasty done just over 1.5 years ago, I’m very unhappy with the way it turned out, especially the bluntness and projection, I feel like it is too lifted and my columenlla has been overly propped up and straightened, my bridge overresected. I feel though this does not suit my face. It’s too wide and short I feel like I look angry and ignorant. Can this be lengthened, narrowed and made to look more of a natural angle, or is this not possible to reconstruct. Is it worth pursuing revision

To me, your nose isn't too short, really. The angle between your upper lip and the bottom edge of your nose isn't clearly too large -- it's mostly in a range of normal. I'm wondering whether what you notice is that the tip of your nose might stick out more than ideal for your face. I'd like to see some morphs of your nose where the tip is brought back a little closer to the face. That movement would also eliminate the impression that the bridge has been over-resected, because it doesn't seem to me that the bridge was lowered excessively, but if the tip sticks out too far, the bridge will look to low on anyone.
That make any sense? I'm not positive about that, but I do suspect that trying to lower your tip down to make the nose longer wouldn't help anything, and certainly building up the bridge would be a disaster on you.
Also, did you have a small chin implant? In your pre-op photos, it looked as though a small implant might help how you feel about your nose, but I'm not seeing that in these latest photos. Also, it doesn't look as though you got the lip lift you asked about. Amiright about that, too? I'd bet $5 that you wouldn't be happy with a lip lift. Pass on that.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for a revision rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your procedure would include tip deprojection, tip derotation with placement of extended spreader grafts, tip refinement, among other maneuvers. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
