Thank you for your question. I recommend you seek an in-person evaluation with your surgeon to best address your concerns, as it is difficult to perform a thorough evaluation based on photographs alone. Swelling and bruising can be expected to occur in the area that was treated, but is more concerning if it extends past the area of treatment like to the chest as your describe.

Anytime a procedure is done on the neck involving a needle there is a chance for bruising, and it most often gravitates downward to the collar bone. What you are experiencing is certainly more bruising in a wider area than usual, but it will resolve over a couple of weeks. If you're set for another treatment in the future it may be advisable to use less Kybella in a more restricted area. For now realize that more inflammation will likely translate into more tightening over time.

Very unusual for kybella injection to extend done the chest and upper side of the shoulder. I would suggest you contact the Dr that performed the procedure and let him or her know,so that you can be seen and evaluated.
