There is no contraindication to taking hydrocodone or other narcotic analgesics after Kybella injections however this should not be necessary. Kybella treatments are not terribly painful. The drug is injected with very small needles and application of topical anesthetic cream prior to treatment allows the skin punctures to be relatively painless. Typically patients experience a burning sensation during and after injection from the inflammatory reaction that begins immediately. The burning sensation lasts only 15-20 minutes and application of ice helps alleviate the discomfort during this brief period. Afterwards there is only minor soreness that should be alleviated with OTC acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Ibuprofen may be preferable to also help the inflammation and swelling at the treatment site that will gradually resolve over the next several days to weeks. Be sure to consult with a qualified and experienced board certified injector to help you achieve the ideal result and recovery. Best of luck!Dr. Max Polo
You can definitely take Hydrocodone for your pain, in most cases it's not necessary. If the pain persists call your Doctor to make sure there isn't something else going on.
Pain medications are not likely to help after Kybella. I see a better response from ibuprofen/melloxicam after Kybella. The pain is usually short lived and so it should get better soon. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
Though many patients have some tenderness after Kybella, narcotic pain medications are not typically necessary. I would check with your injector to make sure that everything is going as expected with your treatment, as more pain may be an indication that some other process is going on. Good luck!

"Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination...
Thank you for the question. I think that it should be fine that you have Kybella while on antibiotics, as the two treatments should not interfere with one another. That said, I do not like doing elective, cosmetic procedures or injectables in anyone that has any form of...
