After fat injected into my face 3 years ago i have overfilled cheeks and bumps under my skin located in different areas. A doctor suggested low doses of kybella to try to help with both problems. Is this okay to use in those areas other than under the chin?

Answer: Kybella to remove fat Kybella is FDA approved to dissolve fat beneath the chin. Having said that, I have used Kybella to dissolve small areas of fat in other parts of the face following facial fat grafting in other offices. be sure to find an experienced surgeon/injector who has a through understanding of facial anatomy. As an example, a form of Kybella has been used in Brazil to dissolve fat beneath the eyes with good results. Kybella cannot be injected in the area of nerves where it can damage the nerve sheath.

Because of the proximity to important facial nerves and blood vessels I would refrain from isolated injections into parts of the face. I take a better safe than sorry approach with Kybella treatments. Hope this helps.
