I believe this will be fine as long as you do not skip any doses of antibiotics. However, you should mention this to the physician before moving forward. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
Kybella is a noninvasive procedure and therefore you should be fine to proceed while still on Zithromax
Thank you for your question. If you have an internal infection such as a sinus infection, this should have no impact on a superficial injectable treatment such as Kybella. That being said, there should be no problem delaying the treatment until you feel better if that seems safer to you.Best of luck!
I do not think that there would be any problem having your second Kybella treatment as you are recovering from a sinus infection. There should not be any safety issue but there certainly would not be any problem to wait a longer period of time if you do not feel up to it at the moment.
Thank you for the question. I think that it should be fine that you have Kybella while on antibiotics, as the two treatments should not interfere with one another. That said, I do not like doing elective, cosmetic procedures or injectables in anyone that has any form of illness, as the off chance that there is some unforeseen interaction makes me hesitant to offer it. I prefer that my patients are healthy at the time of injection, though I think that most providers would offer it and leave it up to the patient. Good luck!
It definitely is safe to proceed, meaning that you don't have a higher risk of side effects because you are sick. However, I prefer for my patients to be healthy when doing procedures such as Kybella and I would recommend delaying until after you've completed the course of antibiotics and are feeling better.
Every person’s body responds slightly differently to Kybella or any other treatment. Generally, most people are only swollen for a couple of days. The most I’ve seen in my practice is about 2 weeks. If you are still significantly swollen, it may be because of the amount used. I don’t like to gi...
Kybella can be used to dissolve fat away from it's FDA approved 'zone' in the submental area just like botox can be used on areas such as the neck or upper lip lines. However, be mindful of the anatomy in any particular area where Kybella would be placed. The area in the midface/cheek area e...
I usually start with 2 treatments and 2 vials and reassess after 2-3 months. You can obtain a more predictable and immediate result with chin and jawline liposuction. The costs are comparable. Good luck
If you’re already seeing improvements after your last treatment, then you’re on the right timeline. Yes, you could continue to improve over the next 4 to 5 weeks. It can take up to 3 months to see your final results. You don’t have to worry about missing a window of opportunity — Kybella ...
Shaving is not necessary prior to Kybella treatments. Short stubble will not interfere with the Kybella treatment since the Kybella acts on the fatty layer which is below the skin and hair follicles. As long as the area can be marked appropriately by the physician the treatment should go...
Retin A can be quite irritating to the skin, so if you are still tender or sore from the Kybella injections, I’d avoid using Retin-A there. However, you can use it on the rest of your face and neck. Once your skin feels less tender, feel free to use the Retin A under your chin as well. It w...
